Following on from his stint as guest editor of the October issue of Asia Pacific Fire, Australian John Clampett has been appointed to the Editorial Advisory Board of MDM Publishing Ltd where he will assist the board and directors of MDM Publishing in sourcing editorial content and making connections in the fire safety industry within the Asia Pacific and wider international markets. John’s no-nonsense approach is a perfect fit for MDM Publishing and we are confident he will be a massive asset.
John has over 40 years of senior executive experience and technical leadership in the fire and building industry. He has a unique background as a professional firefighter with the Melbourne Fire Brigade, building surveying and senior roles with the Australian Building Codes Board, Building Research Association of New Zealand, Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organisation, Norman Disney and Young Engineering, Private Consulting Practice and the Fire Protection Association of Australia. These roles have taken him through building code reform, fire research, emergency management planning, product testing, product certification/accreditation, international building code development, investigation and assessment, fire safety engineering consulting, risk engineering and business development in Australia and internationally.
