- New location in Pudahuel/Santiago as strategic hub for Latin America
- First professional service offering for firefighting vehicles in Chile
- Further expansion of Latin America business is planned
Rosenbauer is stepping up its activities in Latin America and has begun operating its first subsidiary on the South American continent. At the new location in Pudahuel, Santiago, the company brings together sales, workshop, spare parts warehouse, showroom, and experience centre in a comprehensive service offering. The subsidiary with 11 employees also serves as a central service hub for the Latin American market. With an investment of 3.5 million US dollars (about €3 million), Rosenbauer is underscoring its long-term commitment to the region and creating the infrastructure for even closer support of its customers locally.
“Chile is an important market for Rosenbauer with long-term potential. More than 300 Rosenbauer vehicles are already in use here. We see attractive growth opportunities, both in vehicles and equipment as well as in the service business. By setting up our own branch office, we are strengthening our market presence locally and can respond even more efficiently to specific local requirements and developments in the Latin American market,” said Andreas Zeller, Chief Sales Officer of Rosenbauer International AG.
“The new location will enable us to serve our customers even faster and more comprehensively in the future. Thanks to our own workshop, local spare parts warehouse, and qualified service teams, response times are significantly reduced, and the availability of vehicles and equipment is ensured on a sustainable basis,” said Eduardo Viveros, Managing Director of Rosenbauer Chile.

The opening ceremony took place on September 12, 2026, in the presence of around 700 guests and numerous guests of honour including the Austrian ambassador in Chile, representatives of the Chilean firefighters association, fire department commanders from all over the country, the mayor of Pudahuel, and representatives of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
First professional fire department service in Chile
By opening its own subsidiary in Pudahuel, Rosenbauer is the first company in Chile to offer a professional service specifically for firefighting vehicles and equipment locally. The focus is initially on Rosenbauer vehicles, but the range is to be gradually expanded to include vehicles from other manufacturers. Modern office space, the Rosenbauer training centre, and a showroom are located on around 500 m². The new location covers a total area of around 2,000 m².
In addition to the stationary workshop, Rosenbauer Chile has mobile service units, and the offering is supplemented by flying engineers who are familiar with European and North American vehicle and technical standards. A dedicated spare parts warehouse enables fire departments throughout the country to be supplied quickly. It will serve other Latin American markets in the future. A showroom and an experience centre are available for product presentations.
Chile has been one of Rosenbauer’s important markets in Latin America for years due to its political stability, strong European orientation, and high level of quality awareness. A distinctive feature of the Chilean fire service is that it is based almost entirely on voluntary work. The system thus plays a key role in contexts where voluntary fire departments and the sense of community are highly valued.
