At Interschutz, Hytrans will unveil two innovations that further establish its position as a global leader in advanced mobile water transport systems: the SuperFlood 550 and the electric PowerPack. These world premières represent a significant expansion in the Hytrans product range and emphasize the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, reliability, and sustainable performance in large-scale disaster response. Driven by its mission to prevent and reduce the impact of major disasters, Hytrans continually develops solutions that enable emergency response teams to act more swiftly, safely, and effectively in critical situations.
Setting a new benchmark in very large-scale flood control
With the introduction of the SuperFlood 550, Hytrans is setting a new standard in mobile high-capacity flood management. This system is designed specifically for the high-volume segment and offers an exceptional capacity of 150,000 liters per minute, enabling response teams to handle extreme water volumes in the most demanding situations. The SuperFlood 550 has been developed to address the increasing scale and severity of flood events worldwide.
As climate-related challenges intensify, emergency teams and industrial operators require solutions that go beyond traditional limits. Its outstanding capacity and durable design ensure the SuperFlood 550 provides a reliable, scalable response to these growing demands. Hytrans brings together decades of expertise in engine technology, hydraulics, and mobile water transport systems to deliver a solution that not only boosts operational capacity but also improves deployment speed and efficiency in large-scale flood scenarios.
This collective approach highlights the importance of long-standing collaboration between Hytrans and partners like Volvo Penta. Powered by a Volvo Penta D16 off-road industrial engine, the SuperFlood 550 brings together the expertise of two organizations that have served the industrial market for 25 years and share a strong focus on reliability, performance, and innovation. By combining Hytrans’ advanced mobile water transport technology with Volvo Penta’s proven and efficient engine solutions, the partnership delivers a powerful, dependable solution for large-scale emergency and industrial operations worldwide.
Advancing sustainability and operator safety with the electric PowerPack
Alongside this high-capacity innovation, Hytrans has launched the electric PowerPack, which represents a significant step towards sustainable, operator-friendly operations. The electric PowerPack is specifically designed for independent hose layer containers fitted with a Hose Recovery Unit (HRU). By replacing traditional power solutions with an electric alternative, the electric PowerPack significantly reduces noise and emissions during hose recovery operations.
This innovation directly promotes safer and more sustainable working conditions:
• Lower noise levels improve communication and reduce operator fatigue
• Zero or reduced emissions support environmental objectives and compliance
• Improved operational awareness enhances overall safety during deployment
With the electric PowerPack, Hytrans is meeting the increasing demand for environmentally friendly solutions without compromising on performance or reliability.
Continuous innovation as a foundation for global impact
The introduction of the SuperFlood 550 and the electric PowerPack reflects Hytrans’ broader strategy of continuously expanding its product range to meet the changing needs of disaster response organizations worldwide. Hytrans has established a strong global presence thanks to more than 60 years of engineering expertise and over 35 years of experience in mobile water transport systems. Hytrans’ systems are used in more than 60 countries to support relief organizations, governments, and industrial operators in preventing and minimizing the impact of disasters.
These two world premières show how Hytrans continues to turn experience into innovation, expanding its range of advanced solutions while keeping its core promise: delivering reliable, flexible, high-performance systems that can be deployed when every second counts.
A partner in every phase of disaster response
Hytrans is more than just a technology provider. The company offers a comprehensive, integrated approach, from initial advice and system design to training, maintenance, and lifecycle support, to ensure that customers are not only supplied with advanced systems but also fully prepared to operate them effectively in real-world situations.
By launching the SuperFlood 550 and the electric PowerPack at Interschutz, Hytrans is strengthening its position as a trusted partner for organizations operating in the most critical environments.
