This time, Ed Sullivan, Hazardous Materials Lead & Hazmat Academy Manager at the National Chemical Emergency Centre has been appointed to assist the board and directors of MDM Publishing in attaining the very best HazMat related content across its stable of leading fire industry journals.
With twenty years’ experience in the emergency response sector, Ed has a passion for responder safety. Over the last twelve months, Ed has worked with organisations in industries such as the emergency services, mining, automotive, aviation and education as they strive towards a more sustainable future by exploring the use of alternative fuels such as hydrogen, lithium-ion batteries, methanol, and ammonia.
Prior to taking on this role in late 2019, Ed was a Station Officer in the UKFRS, spending his last two-years’ service seconded to the UK Fire Service College as the Head of Hazmat.
David Staddon, Director at MDM Publishing Ltd commented “We are honoured that Ed has accepted our invitation to join our newly formed Editorial Advisory Board. We have partnered with Riccardo’s National Chemical Emergency Centre for several years and they have been regular editorial contributors to the magazines. Therefore it was only natural that we wanted to formalise Ed’s involvement with the EAB. His reputation and industry knowledge are world renowned. This will ensure our work in this specialist area remains of the highest calibre.
Ed Sullivan Hazardous Materials Lead & Hazmat Academy Manager at the National Chemical Emergency Centre commented on the appointment. “As an organisation we have been working with MDM Publishing for a number of years, and we have always found their team to be professional and fun to work with. I am very pleased to help strengthen our partnership by joining their Editorial Advisory Board, where I hope to influence editorial content and make new connections in the field for MDM.”
